FROM OUR GARDENS TO YOURS On May 11, the San Juan Island Garden Club is sharing with the community prized plants from our gardens and starts from our greenhouses. While we are still busy growing, planting and preparing for our annual Plant Sale, you can expect to find the following:
* At least ten varieties of Tomato starts, including Sungold and Lemon Boy
* Herbs and vegetable starts including basil and rhubarb
* Flowering perennials such as asters, hellebores, fuschia, poppies, daisies, dahlias and daylilies
* Annual flowers such as love in the mist and alyssum
* A variety of Succulent and House plants to choose from including the popular Hens & Chicks
* Berry plants, including Kokanee and Golden raspberries
* A special area just for the kiddos featuring garden-inspired Mother's Day Gifts priced $5 and less
* Hand-made Eco-Printed Notecards by long-time garden club member and local artist Krispi
Garden Club Disclaimer: As we all know, sometimes our best gardening intentions don't always turn out as planned. The above list of plants is just as small snapshot of what we are growing for you and we will add and subtract from this list as we get closer to the event.
We look forward to seeing you on May 11, 2024. Proceeds from the SJI Garden Club Plant Sale support ongoing garden enhancement projects in the community.
